It is said that the goddess Chloris, keeper of flowers and spring, once walked the sunlit countryside when she discovered the lifeless body of a young nymph — radiant, beautiful, and full of promise. Moved by her passing, Chloris called upon the gods to transform the nymph’s spirit into something everlasting.
She called upon Zephyrus to clear the skies, and Apollo cast his golden rays upon the blossom. Aphrodite granted beauty, Dionysus bestowed fragrance, and from their divine gifts, the first rose bloomed. Aphrodite, dedicating it to her son Eros, named the flower Rose — the Queen of Flowers, forever embodying remembrance, transformation, and the timeless beauty of nature’s magic.
